Fordham Apartment

I moved into the Fordham Apartments in 2019 when I relocated to Portland, Oregon after school. The masonry building was constructed in 1911 and features balconies, detailed millwork, inlaid floors, charming tile, and scores of large, original windows. The building was the last residence of Abigail Scott Duniway, suffragist and first woman in Multnomah County registered to vote. Much of my vintage furniture, thrift store pottery, regional art, and other objets d'arte followed me on the move and fit like a glove within the apartment’s warm charm. A palette of textural upholstered pieces and rugs, houseplants and warm woods create a series of inviting and cozy spaces.
