The Red Barber

While I was at OMFGCO, the interiors team created the concept for the partially-enclosed bar atop the Catbird Hotel. Inspired by Brutalist city parks and modern sculpture gardens, we created something far from ordinary just under the expansive Denver sky. To contrast the casual, comfortable character of the hotel lobby, the bar was designed with a sculptural approach, full of artful furniture and lighting, and finished in off-beat details. Playing with the building’s unconventional floor shapes, we introduced undulating curves that created booths and seating nooks. We passed this vision along to Swan Dive to bring to life.
