The Junto
One of my first projects working at OMFGCO, I worked with the interiors team on the public space design for The Junto Hotel, the first independent lifestyle hotel in Columbus, Ohio. The lobby was designed to be a place to meet, discuss, imbibe, connect, or flip through a book surrounded by warm character, eclecticism, and a hint of industrial style as a nod to the neighborhood. Just off the lobby, we also designed Maudine’s, a coffee shop with a focus on alt-milks and honoring Ohio’s agricultural history though board-and-batten wood walls and cow-print tile that wraps from the floor up to the counter. Upstairs, we worked with Makeready to develop their vision for the dark and moody Brass Eye rooftop bar that over looks the city. The Junto won second-place in USA Today’s Best New Hotel 2024.
